Inside: The best Christmas books for kids to read this holiday season. Bring on the nostalgia and memories!
There’s no better memory than sitting in front of the Christmas tree, snuggled in blankets, eating cookies and drinking milk, smelling the pine tree spray, (since we didn’t have a real tree), and listening to mom read our favorite Christmas stories.
Or hearing the stories before bed, desperately straining your ears trying to listen for Reindeer footsteps on your roof, inevitably falling asleep, and dreaming about Santa.
Christmas evokes such powerful nostalgia and happy memories from when you were a kid.
They’re so powerful in fact that even now when I read Christmas stories to my kids in the middle of the summer, I can still smell that pine tree spray. (Seriously though, I can’t be the only one who remembers this spray!!)
I created a list of Christmas stories that are my kids current favorites, some of my favorites from when I was a kid, and some classics too!
(Check out how you can use these Christmas stories as advent calendars for kids!)
Be sure to check out the personalized Christmas stories too! (One of my favorite books was a personalized book I had when I was little. I couldn’t get over the fact that my name was in the book!)
